What this site is

This is where I write down what I know about the UAE property market: new projects, areas, and what to check when you buy from abroad. Each page says where its numbers come from and when I last checked them. There are no property listings on this site.

My background

I began my career in banking, at ABN AMRO and then at Standard Chartered, and later moved into UAE property. In all, that is over 20 years. Today I am a licensed real estate professional in Dubai.

How I write

I use real numbers, and I say where each one comes from.
I say what I would check, and what I would not do.
I keep my own view in a box marked “My view”, so you can tell facts from opinion.
